Shila’s Journey

At Himalayan Beauty & Spa, beauty is more than a treatment — it is a tradition, a journey, and a connection between cultures. Behind our story is our founder, Shila, whose passion for wellness began high in the heart of Nepal.
Shila's journey into beauty and healing started in her childhood home in Nepal. Inspired by her mother's knowledge of traditional Nepali Ayurvedic massage, she learned how Himalayan herbs and therapeutic oils could bring comfort and relief.
Determined to master her craft, she trained at one of the reputed beauty and spa institutes in Thamel, Kathmandu. Shila later established and successfully operated her own beauty parlour and spa in Boudha, Kathmandu.
Life eventually brought a new chapter. Together with her husband, Shila moved from Nepal to Finland, carrying with her the rich traditions and wellness culture of the Himalayas. She continued her education at Stadin AO (Helsinki Vocational College), graduating as a professional cosmetologist in 2022.
Today, Shila is creating a sanctuary in Pasila, Helsinki — where ancient Nepalese beauty rituals, Ayurvedic therapies, and heartfelt hospitality blend with modern skincare and Nordic professionalism.
I carry the Himalayas with me — and here, in Helsinki, two worlds of healing finally meet under one roof.
